What they are saying!
We stayed here for a couple of nights in August with our Westie and all absolutely loved it. It was really private and peaceful and the bird life was awesome too. Would highly recommend it and the restaurant Myrtille and adjoining bakery My Little Blueberry in the neighbouring town of Crows Nest.
Stayed here for 2 night with my partner and our dog. Beautifully located in the middle of nature yet cozy and relaxing! Sunset and the night sky were stunning. Wood fire oven for pizza was a great experience as well. We’ll def come back!

‘We loved our time at this gorgeous little cottage. Thank You for thinking of everything to make our weekend away so comfortable. Brian got some amazing photos of birds and we loved seeing the fireflies in the evenings . What a beautiful area ! “
Our recent stay was more magical than the previous couple of stays at Hazelmont Cottage and that’s saying something.
I lost count of the different types of birds seen plus the fireflies were out in numbers, we even had them flying in and around the balcony and the cottage. It was so magical and the first time Karri has seen a firefly and now she has seen hundreds 😊
A beautiful place to relax and listen to the birds. The cottage was everything we could have wished for.
Such a lovely escape! The attention to detail made the trip so special. The hosts went above and beyond to consider everything and made this trip so incredible. Also bed and linen was delightful. Thank you for a beautiful stay! Highly recommend!
After a massive year we wanted to bring in 2021 with a peaceful getaway, which is exactly what Hazelmont Cottage provides Tea on the verandah, pizza in the wood fired oven and exploring this lovely countryside really hit the spot!
Thank you for an amazing stay! Lovely little getaway! Beautiful cottage. We’ll be back.
Thank you both for a fantastic weekend. Loved exploring the whole area, wine & cheese at sunset, and just chilling on the deck with the birdlife!
Relaxing, clean and beautifully oriented cabin. We had a great time and so did our dog Paco! So many little touches – for both human and dog which was very appreciated! Loved sitting on the deck in the morning and for dinner. We will return!
A wonderful relaxing cottage with a peaceful garden a fabulous host a perfect getaway from the city
Lovely place, great views of nature in Ravensbourne. Located near many great national parks and country towns.
If you’re looking for a spot to explore Ravensbourne and surrounds, or a cosy spot to while away the weekend in private, this is the place – Sue and Jonathan are generous hosts and made us feel very welcome, but also respected our privacy.
This place is so special. A window in time to let go of responsibilities and the noise of life. Sat on the porch with my love, a bottle of bubbles and a beer and talked of nothing of any consequence. Visit and drop out of life for a while…just the best
I was surprised how small the cottage was when I first walked in, but it has everything you need for a really peaceful, comfortable, relaxing time away. There’s a really good walk nearby but other than that it’s all about listening to the birds and feeling the breeze 🙂
Great place to stay for a couple of days. We stayed while going to the garden festival in Toowoomba. A nice comfortable drive in and a comfortable place t stay.
Sue and Jonathan’s place is lovely, very peaceful and relaxing with birdsong in the mornings and an indoor fireplace for cosy evenings.
